ASAI Complaints Bulletin 06/4

Adjudications of the independent Complaints Committee of the Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland on complaints in respect of 29 advertisements, 27 of which attracted complaints from consumers and the remaining two were complaints of an intra-industry nature, were released today.

 At their meeting the Complaints Committee found 21 of the advertisements complained of to be in breach of the Codes of Advertising Standards on various grounds relating to truthfulness, decency and propriety, prices and comparisons.  The advertisements complained of related to posters, radio, press, brochures and direct email.  (Click here to see the adjudications).
