Attached are adjudications of the independent Complaints Committee of the Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland on complaints in respect of 39 advertisements, 33 of which attracted complaints from consumers and the remaining six were complaints of an intra-industry nature. At their meeting the Complaints Committee found 34 of the advertisements complained of to be in breach of the Code of Advertising Standards on various grounds relating to truthfulness, comparisons and substantiation. The advertisements complained of related to television, press, sales promotions, brochures, internet and radio.
